About

I'm a dedicated WoW player who play several alts, but I focus mainly on my Warlock. Since I have a lot of characters, on this site it's easiest that I'm simply known as Saga.
I'm a raider, guild officer and altoholic who loves chasing after new mounts and pets.
This site is where I ramble about my adventures and thoughts as I continue playing WoW.

15 Days of Screenshots (Day 14)
This is the fourteenth post in a series according to the 15 Days of Screenshots challenge issued by Saz over at World of Saz.
Day Fourteen: Place Swap
If you could be any of your characters, who would you be and why?
I find this to be a fairly difficult question to be fair. My Warlock, Démonique is an interesting character with a rich background, but she also has some serious issues which makes me hesitant to want to take her spot. I considered being my Mage, because how awesome wouldn’t it be to just be able to use portals and teleport to where you need to be? (She’s also my bank character and is in charge of all the moneys… Not a bad deal!) She’s a Gnome though, so that’s an automatic no-no.
In the end, I’d probably have to settle on my Paladin, Rhaura. While I don’t have any sort of background for her, she always struck me as a fairly put-together kind of person. She’s calm and secure in herself and her place in the world. There is something comforting about the thought of that.
Which of your characters would you be?

15 Days of Screenshots (Day 13)
This is the thirteenth post in a series according to the 15 Days of Screenshots challenge issued by Saz over at World of Saz.
Day Thirteen: A Fond Memory
Shed a little tear, grin a little grin, and show us an image that invokes a fond memory for you.
Through the years I’ve made a lot of good memories in WoW. Some bad as well, but mostly good. Few of them have screenshots to go with them though. I’ve gone through all of my screenshot folders and realised I need to take more screenshots of actual events and less of scenery and boss kills.
In the end, I decided to share the fond memory of my early TBC raiding guild, Ascension, of which I was a Guild Master. I started it together with my brother and a couple of friends, and we filled it with a bunch of really fun individuals. We were just a 10 man guild and had a great time clearing Karazhan back in the day.
Sadly we never made the jump to 25 man due to being on a near-dead server, and we eventually all scattered to different guilds. I still remember those days fondly though. Had 10 man been an option beyond Karazhan back in those days, I wouldn’t be surprised if we’d still been around.
Share a fond memory of your own!

15 Days of Screenshots (Day 12)
This is the twelfth post in a series according to the 15 Days of Screenshots challenge issued by Saz over at World of Saz.
Day Twelve: Inspiring Imagery
Show us something that inspires you within World of Warcraft. This can be a character, a person, scenery that leaves you in aw, or whatever it is that strikes a cord in you. The inspiration it creates can be anything as well: Has this character inspired you to roll a certain class? Does a certain zone make you long to write a story about your character adventuring through that particular area?
Truth be told, almost everything in WoW inspires me in some way or other. My Warlock in herself inspires me to imagine her story, despite me not being a roleplayer. The beautiful scenery gives me ideas for stories or backgrounds for my characters. Or just inspiration in general. There is so many beautiful areas in WoW, I don’t think it’d be possible to show them all.
I feel inspired to draw my characters whenever a new piece of their story comes to me, but sadly I never get around to it. (I am also not good at drawing, which may also contribute!)
There was a certain part of the world where I always imagined one of my characters walking down the road. It was an eerie and beautiful part of the forest right where Felwood turns into Ashenvale. Sadly it was removed in Cataclysm and can no longer be found, and other than a video (with poor quality) where I use it briefly, I couldn’t find a screenshot of it.
So instead, I will share with you an image of Thunder Bluff at night that I took while leveling my first Tauren in ages. It inspires me because of its serenity and beauty, and reminds me of the spirituality of the Tauren.
What inspires you in WoW?

15 Days of Screenshots (Day 11)
This is the eleventh post in a series according to the 15 Days of Screenshots challenge issued by Saz over at World of Saz.
Day Eleven: Profession of Choice
Show us an image of you doing what you like to do best.
I haven’t found a good screenshot to go with this, since a picture of me standing still and crafting just doesn’t seem like much fun. When it comes to professions I can’t say that I have a favourite one. I like feeling self-sufficient and for that reason I have every profession maxed out on my main’s realm, spread out over all of my alts. My main herself has Jewelcrafting and Tailoring, something she’s had since I created her and I don’t see it changing.
Then I have a dedicated farmer who has Mining and Herbalism, the two raw materials I use the most. I have a Skinner/Leatherworker, but together with Engineering they’re the professions I use the least. I have a few duplicate professions of course (with ten alts it’d be impossible not to). Mostly it’s duplicates in some characters having a gathering profession together with a crafting one, but I also have three Alchemists.
On my alt realm I’m busy leveling a few alts now, and the plan is to have my own Alchemist, Jewelcrafter, Enchanter and farmer with Herbing/Mining. As long as I have those professions I feel that I can make do.
Which professions do you consider “must have”?

15 Days of Screenshots (Day 10)
This is the tenth post in a series according to the 15 Days of Screenshots challenge issued by Saz over at World of Saz.
Day Ten: Your WoW Crew
Who are the people you hang out with day in and day out? Do you only hang out with your raid mates? Do you have a small, tight knit group of friends that you hang out with? Or are you a strange longer who just hangs out with your pets?
My time in WoW is spent in all sorts of ways. I do spend quite a bit of it on my own either queuing for instances, trying the Looking for Raid, leveling or doing something else. That said, I like doing things together as well, and prefer to do so when it’s possible.
There is of course my raiding crew with whom I raid regularly. Some of them I also do Heroics and other things with, or level alts. You name it.
Let’s not forget my good friend and Guild Master – who loves gnomes a little too much.
Then there’s my lovely friend Kimzowy who lets me join her guild’s raids sometimes on my Paladin.
I hang out and chat with more people of course, but these are the ones I talk to/play with on a daily basis.
What about your crew?

15 Days of Screenshots (Day 9)
This is the ninth post in a series according to the 15 Days of Screenshots challenge issued by Saz over at World of Saz.
Day Nine: Your Character’s Hometown
We all have the same starting zones where we begin our various quests, but where does your character actually hail from?
Despite not being a role-player my Warlock has her own story and background. There are specific reasons why she became a Warlock specifically (all tying back to the original description of them being Mages who ended up going “too far” in their quest for more power).
I once wrote her background story, and I started another story of her as she is currently, where I had planned to work the background into it – but in the end I’ve not managed to finish it. Sometimes I think about putting her background story up here, but since I’m not a role-player I’m not sure that makes a whole lot of sense.
So, her hometown? I have a very specific image in mind of what her house looked like where she grew up, but I can’t find that in game, so for the sake of this challenge, let’s simply say that being a human her hometown is quite simply Stormwind. It’s more likely she lived on an estate outside of the Stormwind gates, but there are none in the game and Stormwind is a beautiful city.
Where would you say that your character hails from originally?

15 Days of Screenshots (Day 8)
This is the eight post in a series according to the 15 Days of Screenshots challenge issued by Saz over at World of Saz.
Day Eight: Vacation Spot
If Azeroth was the real world, where would you vacation to?
I think there are many beautiful areas of Azeroth where one might want to vacation to. There are bustling cities, wilderness, deserts and highlands. Anything you might want for your vacation is readily available. I guess you could even go skiing in Storm Peaks should you want to!
For me, right now, I feel that what I want most is a stress-free holiday where I can do nothing but swim, sip drinks and enjoy the sun. Somewhere secluded, but near enough to get the amenities I may need.
Something like this seems good.
Where would you vacation to?

15 Days of Screenshots (Day 7)
This is the seventh post in a series according to the 15 Days of Screenshots challenge issued by Saz over at World of Saz.
Day Seven: Best Screenshot of the Year
Show us the best screenshot you believe that you have ever taken and why you think it is the best (content, meaning, how you framed it, etc).
I will admit straight up that I’m not the best at taking screenshots – nor am I someone who have an easy time choosing. My favourite screenshots are almost always of the world. Say what you want about the game, but Blizzard created a beautiful world for us, no one can deny that.
I think my absolute favourite screenshot is the one of Thunder Bluff. I just love the sun setting over Mulgore, with Thunder Bluff providing a great framing.
Due to the aforementioned problem with choosing, I’ve included some runner-ups as well.

15 Days of Screenshots (Day 6)
This is the sixth post in a series according to the 15 Days of Screenshots challenge issued by Saz over at World of Saz.
Day Six: Favourite line of Poetry/Lyric
Most of us have a favorite poet or song. Give us an image that you think represents your favorite line, or what line inspires you most. You should probably include said line and *maybe* give some explanation/reasoning behind it, unless you’re feeling overly ambiguous.
One of the quotes I like the most and usually add anywhere that asks for my favourite quote… actually I couldn’t find an appropriate screenshot for. Unless I would go and take one of Varian Wrynn’s face – because I consider him quite the fool.
The quote in question:
The fool doth think he is wise, but the wise man knows himself to be a fool.
- Shakespeare
Since I can’t find a screenshot to go with this though, I’ve decided to go with my old motto that I had since I was 15 and a teacher said it to me – and for a very long time.
Per aspera ad astra.
The translation more or less is “aim for the stars”. My teacher obviously had great plans for me, shame I didn’t do any of it!
What is your favourite line of poetry/lyric?

15 Days of Screenshots (Day 5)
This is the fifth post in a series according to the 15 Days of Screenshots challenge issued by Saz over at World of Saz.
Day Five: Title of Choice
Show us an image of you pimping your favorite title and give us a reason why you dig it so much.
I have to admit that my Warlock usually runs around without a title on. There just isn’t a title that I feel suits her, and so she is simply Démonique. That said, I quite liked the temporary title she got when completing the first stage of the Legendary quest line. (Even if it wasn’t a very Warlock-like title!)
What is your favourite title, or do you run without one?
