Call to Arms: Real ID Heroics – EU — 26 Comments

  1. Noooooooo!
I have wanted this for so long now, and they implement it when I finally leave?!?!??!?!
Technically I ‘do’ still have my account, as my GM is just using my shaman to farm herbs, but I said no more WoW!
This is the closest thing to temptation though so far šŸ™

    • I have to admit I’m really happy about the Real ID grouping feature. It allows me to play with my brother who’s on another server. And now I’m cheeky enough to hope that I can get to “meet” some of the bloggers and readers as well šŸ™‚

Syl over at Raging Monkeys had a similar reaction to yours to their new Transmogrification feature (basically getting to change the looks of your armour to something else.. like your T12 can look like your T5).

Maybe they’re trying to get people back.. or just trying hard to keep the ones they have.. Who knows..

And I’d have loved to group with you, but I would never ask you to come back to the game when I know you’ve quit. You got your own stuff to focus on šŸ™‚

  2. You can change your armour??!?!?! I would LIVE in T1….. Or Ulduar gear? TOO MANY CHOICES!!!!
This is why I avoid mmochamp now :/
I read that while having a sip of my drink, doing a weird bouncing happy dance type thing and caused myself to choke!
If you get 3 others on those days and do need a last person, I would consider it as I am not working either day and have no planned treatments šŸ˜›
I have playtime till the end of Sept, and although a little out of practise, I’m sure I could pull my weight šŸ˜› Also have a 100 slot vent server still (I think its 100, or 150, I bought it a loooong time ago now and donated it to my guild when I left, but I still have all moderation privileges!)
Maybe I’ll be good and not play, but just come say hi on chat or something instead šŸ˜›

  3. Whoever came up with this was brilliant. Lots of people don’t want to run heroics without a group, and lots of people are in small guilds because their guilds left. And people who blog about WoW are usually into it enough to be decent.

I wish I was on the European servers just so I could listen to everyone’s accent while playing. Is that stereotypically North American of me? šŸ˜›

    • My thoughts exactly! And I just think it’d be fun to maybe play and chat with some of the people whose blogs I read as well. If there are enough European bloggers, I’m trying to remember which ones are now *lol*

And the bit about listening to accents.. yes, might be a little bit North American stereotype šŸ˜‰ I remember being in the US a few years ago and a guy in a bar told me he’d marry me for my accent alone LOL!

  4. Yes, absolutely love all the accents I come across from wow!
I have a very normal English accent… I had a job offer over vent once, from a guy playing at work and his boss demanded to hear what he was listening to, which happened to be me telling tactics and motivating… So, if I moved to Turkey (I think) I would have a job cause of my silky, siren type voice apparently….
But yeah, if people just want to listen to each other, I will give my vent details and you can all go there for it, so then I wouldn’t have to break my quitting wow thing, and any americans can listen in too!

    • That would be great – thanks so much for letting us use it šŸ™‚ It solves the issue of mine only holding 10 people in case others like to come on just to chat šŸ™‚

  5. What a lovely idea! I’ll mail you. šŸ™‚

On a side note, do you happen to know whether the Real ID pugging goes cross-server regardless of languages? I was just thinking today that I might want to group with a friend who plays on German servers, but so far language groups must have been kept separate, so how would it decide which language pool to draw from if you have multiple people from different language groups? Oh the intrigue…

    • Hmm, that’s an interesting question about the German servers. I would have thought that it worked as long as they were a Real ID friend, independent on server language – because they’re in our battlegroups, so there’s definitely a connection somewhere. You should try and report back! šŸ˜‰

  6. Sounds really cool! I’m up for it! I’m so sick of joining “Zulroics” and find that the people I get grouped up with are arrogant idiots. Would be good to group up with some fellow bloggers for a change!

I’m available most days after 19:00 server time.

    My characters are:
Riftie – Horde – Kor’gall -Holy Paladin with good enough gear to heal Zulroics without problems.
Toron – Horde – Kor’gall – Arms Warrior who can lash out some nice dps. Mostly PvP gear though…
Serfien – Alliance – Kor’gall – MM Hunter with pretty good gear from BWD and BOT.

Just contact me via email for my Real ID. =)

  7. I’m in! šŸ˜€ I never do heroics anymore cause pugs usually fail and not always guildies are up for heroics, plus it would be nice to play with some new people šŸ˜€
I can play this weekend and Monday and Wednesday, afternoon/evening, but maybe during day also.

Syrco – Horde, Kazzak – Balance druid – 376 ilvl
Tojo – Horde, Kazzak – Resto shaman – 360 ilvl
Syrcorax – Horde, Kazzak – Fury warrior – 356 ilvl

And I do have 1 lvl 85 Alliance character on Ravencrest, a mage called Ayame, not very good gear tho.

Guess you can contact me on email šŸ™‚

    • This is going to be so much fun!

I can only do Monday 29th and Friday 2nd though (that I know of beforehand), and so I will arrange on those days. Since you can do Monday I’ll put you in that group.

Which character would you prefer to go on? I’m trying to give everyone the chance to go on the one they prefer to the extent possible šŸ™‚

      • Is there a gear requirement? Cause then I’ll come on the character which is closest to whatever gear the others got. And is it normal heroics or Zandalari?
And it depends on if you’re going on Horde or Alliance characters šŸ˜›

        • Well so far most people who are interested are Horde, so I suspect I’ll be going on my Horde Paladin šŸ˜‰

I think the only gear requirement to get into Zandalaris is 346 – as far as I’m concerned I don’t care about people’s gear, but I think 346 is the ilevel you need for the game to let you queue šŸ™‚ I’ll ask what people want to do, but I suspect maybe Zandalari since they give the most VP šŸ™‚

          • Ok šŸ™‚ If it’s Zandalari I’d prefer to go on my fury warrior or shaman which is resto but can dps as elemental if you want to heal šŸ™‚

  8. Just came across this. Would love to join something like this when at least one of my characters is high enough (one day one day) so I hope it takes off. Would a Welsh accent be ok though? šŸ™‚

    • *lol* Welsh accents are fine with me šŸ™‚ And you’re always welcome to join, would be nice to build a little Heroic running network šŸ˜‰
