Achievements & Mounts
Some random ramblings, since it’s all I seem to be able to come up with at the moment. I’ve been playing a bit less lately, since I finally finished the grind of dailies for reputation. This means I finally hit Exalted with all Pandaria factions and was rewarded with this achievement, and a lovely mount! I’ve gotten a lot of other mounts as well, which I’ve been buying from the factions as I gained Exalted. There are still some I’m missing though since the price of buying them all is a bit hefty. I’ll get around to it though.
I also managed to get my greedy hands on the mount from Alani, and I love it to bits! I’ve been riding nothing else since I got it!
In an attempt to keep myself from leveling another character (I’m just so, so tired of quests!), I decided to rebuild my UI. I spent quite a long time playing around in Photoshop to make a bottom texture that worked exactly like I wanted it to. (I used the images from SpartanUI, since I like the way they look but weren’t entirely happy about some of the functionality). Now I have my own bottom texture that I use in Btex.
There are still a few small adjustments to make, but this is more or less what it looks like. It’s not as neat and clean as the current trend of minimalistic UIs, but I always liked to have most skills easily available, and hence often had a lot of bars out. It’s not everyone’s cup of tea, but it works out nicely for me.
Before I could decide if I wanted a centered mini-map or one off to the side, I made a second bottom texture as well. The UI on the screenshot isn’t fully setup, but it’s just to show you what the other bottom texture ended up looking like.
I’ve updated my Warlock gear list to include the items from the Heart of Fear raid. You can find the updated version here.
I would really like to level my Paladin and some other characters, but all those dailies really put a dent in my questing enthusiasm. It’s frustrating how dungeons or PvP just doesn’t give nearly the same amount of XP, meaning that if you want to level at a decent speed you pretty much have to quest.
How are you leveling your alts (if you are)? Questing again or are you taking the slower route to get a change of scenery?
