I actually already touched on this subject quite a while back when I wrote about my starting experience and how much I enjoyed the game from the get-go.
But, if I’m going to be a purist and talk about my very first day in WoW it was actually not my undead priest. I didn’t know if I was going to like the game when my brother sat me down in front of the computer and said to try it (he’d been badgering me about it for a very long time, and by now was hearing no arguments).
At that time I didn’t really know about Factions or racials or well.. anything. So I picked something randomly that looked good. I made a night elf druid on his account and clicked Enter the Game.
The intro alone had me fascinated. Once in the game I was definitely awed by the beauty that is the Night Elf zone. My brother had to put up with me asking him a million questions during that first hour or so that I played my little druid. How to move my character, how to kill things – where is that quest and so on and so on.
Within an hour I knew this was a game I had to get for myself. So the next day I went down to the shops and bought a copy. Of course at that point I did go Horde since my brother was an Orc Shaman and I wanted to play somewhere he cold give me a hand.
What was your first day playing WoW like?
