It’s been a year… — 32 Comments

  1. Big, big congratulations and *hugs*. Your blog continues to be a joy and an inspiration. And gief topic (I’m not sure I could write much about pinecones, but I might be able to give it a shot…!)

    • Thanks, I’m still as giddy about getting comments as I was back when I first started *lol*

Okay, so for a topic.. Since you’ve recently started a gnome while you normally play horde.. How about a post comparing the two factions. Do you notice any difference in the players that you encounter as horde or as alliance – or is it really all the same in the end? Everyone always says that the kids play Alliance and the Horde are more mature players, do you find that to be correct or just an urban legend?

  2. Happy Bloggy Birthday!! Well done on making a whole year! πŸ™‚
Hmmm as for a topic… how about being kind to yourself? It’s so easy to get wrapped up in gaming, sometimes we forget to take care of ourselves properly, and it’s SO important! x

  3. Merry blogoversary to one of my favourite blogs and bloggers by FAR! And because my blog being dominated by your challenge isn’t enough, how about a topic for me?

    • Thank you!

And hmm.. for a topic.. “Oh gnomes how do I hate thee? Let me count the ways..” Okay.. maybe not..

Okay, I’m a little bit uncertain about if you PUG a lot – or at all.. but if you do.. how about a post on how to save a bad PUG? (If there is a way!) Or how to save a bad raid. You know the kind.. the one where everyone seems to be in a funk and everything goes wrong. Be creative! It doesn’t have to be a serious take on it if you don’t want to. (Personally I’m all for lightening the mood by punting the gnome into the lava pit in BWD.)

  4. Belated grats from me – I’m so behind on everything these days, it seems. A whole year is a great feeling, yes? Here’s to many more to come!

And since I am being crit by RL, I will totally take you up on the offer of a topic. I’m sure I could find some way to relate even pinecones to WoW… maybe… πŸ˜‰

    • Thanks! I still can’t believe it’s been an entire year.. is it a sign of getting old when time flies by faster? Hmm..

Anyway, for a topic.. hmm.. How about writing one about what it’s like being in a guild with so many bloggers? Do you ever feel like you have to play extra well because if you fail it will be all over the intrawebs? Or is it all just awesome because you all share a second interest, other than WoW, which means you’re more kindred spirits than normally one would see with guildies?

    • Thanks a lot! πŸ™‚

Finding topics is proving more difficult than I thought, maybe I should have prepared with some *cough* In any case, since you’re into mysterious buttons and I know I’ve learned about some blog stuff from your site in the past. How about giving us a list of which blogging add-ons/tools you use/recommend and why? And if that topic is too boring, you can tell us what you do to keep positive when you feel frustrated after a bad day in WoW/a bad PUG. I know you live in PUG Utopia (lucky bum!), but surely you still run into them occassionally. You still seem very positive about the Pugging experience, so I’d love to hear more about it πŸ™‚

    • Thanks!

For a topic.. Maybe you’re written about this before, but before I started reading your blog.. but we’ll give it a go. On your About page you mention that you’re in two guilds at the same time. How do you balance between the two? Do you find that one suffer more than the other because you have to split your time, or have you found a way to balance it perfectly? Do you raid with both?

    • Thank you πŸ™‚

And for a topic, hmm.. Since you recently had some discussion regarding what is okay to put in a guild application etc. How about a topic on what you would expect from an applicant to you guild? What kind of person do you guys look for that you think would fit into your guild, and what do you expect from them? What do you expect from someone’s application?

  6. Holy crap, how’d I miss this? *glomp* Happy belated blogoversary, dearlet! I would not turn down a topic/fiction prompt, but since I’m late for the party I won’t whine if I don’t get one. πŸ™‚

    • Thank you!

And for a topic/prompt.. I don’t know if there is one and I’ve missed it.. but how about some kind of background story for Lisan (or another character of your choice, if you prefer) letting us know a little about her personality and where she came from and came to be who she is. You can do it either as just a background piece, or as an actual story in which we find it out πŸ™‚
