For the last few days I’ve been binge watching Netflix’s Jessica Jones, and I have to say that I’m really enjoying it! I’m only a few episodes from the series finale, and it was difficult to tear myself away from finishing it. (But I really needed to do some other things today, other than watch Netflix!)
For those who don’t know about it, it’s a Marvel show in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. She even lives in the same neighborhood of New York as Daredevil. But while they allude to the Avengers and other things that have happened, so far the show stands well on its own. You don’t need to have seen any of the movies or tv-shows to enjoy this.
Jessica Jones is the typical cynical Private Investigator who drinks a lot, but does a great job. Except of course she’s female, which is refreshing. Look, Marvel – a female can carry a show! Maybe we can get that Black Widow movie too eventually, huh?
Anyway, I don’t want to spoil anything. It’s definitely a show that’s worth a watch though. David Tennant as the main antagonist; Kilgrave, is absolutely brilliant. He’s quite possibly one of my favourite Marvel villains in the cinematic universe yet.
So give it a go. If for no other reason than David Tennant. Because… Well, David Tennant.
You’ve probably already come across this, but I’m not a big Youtube viewer so I miss most things until a friend or brother show it to me. I found this one quite funny, maybe because I also think that “Shake It Off” is a very catchy song. Seeing the real actors towards the end is possibly the best part. That and “fake” Dean doing the Eye of the Tiger moves.
Tuesday night I went to see the new Avengers movie with two of my brothers. I really don’t want to spoil anything for anyone still waiting to see it, so I will just say this.
I loved it, loved it, loved it!!!
Admittedly, I may not be the most unbiased reviewer since I absolutely love superhero movies. Still, I really enjoyed this one. The sense of humour was still there, same as the first one – and the story was interesting. Oh, and naturally lots of superhero action!
Special mention must go to James Spader, who is absolutely amazing as Ultron. His voice and way of speaking really suited the role, and made the movie even better.
So, if you haven’t seen it yet… What are you waiting for!!??
German poster, cause I’m too lazy to search for more. Also, slow internet = very slow image searches!
Movie time! I’m not a big fan of PewDiePie, who’s apparently one of the people making the most money on YouTube. That being said, this movie is funny, because he’s playing Cards Against Humanity, and it looks very fun. I want to get it for when I get to hang out with all of the siblings around Christmas. It would be the perfect game for us to play!
This one has me, my brother and the boyfriend all in stitches. We’re all fairly big fans of the Dark Knight movies though. But it might be fun even if you haven’t seen them. With no further introduction… BaneCat!
